The Vampiric Art of Chad Savage
by Chad Savage on Aug.26, 2009, under ARVLFC News & Update
Dark artist Chad Savage, who has been providing artwork to the vampire subculture since the 1980′s, has opened his own Etsy.com shop, where he will be selling original vampiric artwork that he’s created over the last 20 years. Many of these one of a kind drawings were used on magazines, book covers and as book illustrations over the last two decades.
If you’d like to own a small piece of undead history, head over to http://ChadSavage.etsy.com. Check back daily, as Savage plans to dig up, scan and post drawings that haven’t seen the light of day (appropriately enough) for over 10 years. New artwork will be added every day or so.
The Message Board Is BACK, Baby!
by Chad Savage on Jun.11, 2009, under ARVLFC News & Update
Lady ~A and I finally had time to sit down and get the message board set back up, with improvements. It’s now running a more spam-proof version of PHPBB3, and we’ve installed Google Friend Connect, which means new users can create an account and log in with your Google/Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL or OpenID account!
This feature seems spotty in Internet Explorer, be warned. Google and Microsoft’ll have to work that out. You should be using Firefox anyway!
ARVLFC Gallery Moved to Flickr.com; new Twitter Account
by Chad Savage on Jun.08, 2009, under ARVLFC News & Update
Given all the problems we’ve had self-hosting the photo gallery, we decided to move it to Flickr.com – find it at http://www.flickr.com/photos/vampirelestatfanclub . If you’re a Flickr user, add ARVLFC as a contact/friend!
The ARVLFC also has a bouncing baby Twitter account at http://www.twitter.com/arvlfc – add us to be kept up-to-date on developments as we approach the big party on Halloween!
More Website Bullshit.
by Chad Savage on Jan.12, 2009, under ARVLFC News & Update
Okay, I’m sure you all have looked at this site and went WTF?
After being hacked a few months ago and losing our entire Gallery, our dedicated server crashed beyond repair with catastrophic failure and no recourse given by our host company. Needless to say, because of their non-compliance and refusal to retrieve any data they could have, we have obtained a new server. Your memberships are NOT lost as those are backed up in New Orleans on paper. However, we will have to rebuild the forum with an updated version of phpBB so it will be better, stronger and faster without all the spam we have to wade through all the time.
Once the new forum is back up, you WILL have to re-register your account as we are starting all over again. We will let you know when to do that. We will re-build the gallery as well. We have all photos backed up. Good thing this has happened in between Balls and during our down time.
So, bear with us and stay tuned as we repair all that was lost and trust me, it is a monumental task.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
